The Supreme Court on Friday ordered a vote of trust in Uttarakhand Assembly on 10th May after the centre agreed to lift the President’s rule for 2 hours for this purpose.
However, in a significant move, the apex court barred 9 rebel Congress MLAs from taking part in the voting.
President’s rule in Uttarakhand will be suspended for two hours on Tuesday for the floor test, which will be held between 11 am and 1 pm.
The top court will appoint an observer and the entire proceedings will be videographed and result will be submitted to the court the next day.
The court has ordered Uttarakhand administration and police to ensure foolproof security during the voting process.
