CPIM leader Pinarayi Vijayan took oath as 12th Chief Minister of Kerala in a colourful ceremony Wednesday evening.
The Kerala Governor P Sathasivam administered oath of secrecy to the Chief Minister and other 18 ministers during the ceremony held at Central Stadium, near the Secretariat in the state capital Thiruvananthapuram.

Pinarayi Vijayan submitted the list of ministers to the Governor this morning. Along with the Chief Minister, 11 MLAs from CPIM, 4 from CPI.
One minister each from Congress (S), NCP and Janata Dal (S) were also sworn in as the cabinet members.
In a departure from its tradition of austerity, CPIM issued full page ads in leading national dailies to announce the swearing in ceremony of Pinarayi Vijayan.
