Yadav family feud was out in open on Monday as political crisis deepened in ruling Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. Heated argument between UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav and Mulayam Singh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav were observed during Mulayam Singh Yadav’s speech today.
Earlier Mulayam Singh Yadav’s intervention has brought UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and his uncle Shivpal Yadav closer after today’s meeting.
They were made to hug each other after the meeting.Before, addressing the party leaders at a key meeting of Samajwadi Party leaders called by party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today, State party chief Shivpal Yadav claimed that Akhilesh Yadav had said to him that he will form another party.
He further added that the party has reached such heights only because of Netaji and any kind of Indiscipline will not be tolerated in the party.
Addressing the meeting Mulayam SinghYadav said that We should remove our weakness and not fight with each other making his point clear he said that he will never forget the work Shivpal has done for me and Samajwadi Party attacking Akhilesh yadav,Mulayam says people who cant take criticism can’t be leaders.
Earlier Akhilesh Yadav broke down at the meeting. The chief minister said he is not forming a new party, dismissing speculation that the party is headed for a split just before assembly elections in the state.
Akhilesh also offered to step down as Chief minister if Party Supremo and his father Mulayam singh desires.
Ahead of today’s meeting Akhilesh Yadav’s supporters clashed with Shivpal Yadav’s Supporters outside the party office, also engaged in competitive sloganeering.
On a day of fast-paced developments on Sunday, Akhilesh first sacked Shivpal, his uncle and party’s state unit chief, along with three other ministers from his Cabinet.
Mulayam, in a tit-for-tat action, expelled Ramgopal, his cousin and SP’s national general secretary, from the party for six years.
Reacting on SP Feud, BJP leader GVL Narsimha Rao said that two camps have emerged in Uttar Pradesh, where each one is accusing the other.
He added that people of UP will not forgive them for reducing the level of politics to a mere drama.
