Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday stressed on the need to empower the Muslim community India and not treat them as just vote bank.
Speaking at National Executive of his party BJP in Kozhikode, Keral, Prime Minister referred to BJP ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya who had said: “If equality has to be achieved among all then the people on top have to bend down and extend their support to those who are neglected.”
“Don’t reward nor rebuke Muslims. Empower them. They are not items of vote market nor are they substance of hate. Treat them as your own, said Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking about the BJP’s efforts at elevating the poor at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s centenary celebrations in Kozhikode, Modi said BJP was formed for poor section of society and all our initiatives focus on downtrodden people only.
Prime Minister also spoke of his party’s endeavours in dealing with climate change and said Paris climate deal made at COP21 will be ratified on October 2nd, birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
