Government has informed the Lok Sabha that Pakistan’s intelligence agencies like ISI are spying on Indian military and force personnel with the help of mobile Apps.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Home, Haribhai Parathibhai Chaudhary said these agencies are spying by sending malwares, which damage the system in the mobile apps.
These malwares are related to game, music, video and entertainment apps.
Mr. Chaudhary said the country’s security forces have been sensitized about such dubious applications on smart phones.
He said the government has also circulated computer security guidelines to all ministries to prevent such cyber attacks.
The Minister also informed that Pakistan’s spy agency was making efforts to trap ex-servicemen in the garb of providing job opportunities and financial aid for spying.
He said seven ex-servicemen have been arrested for espionage activities for the neighbouring country since 2013 to till date.
