India Thursday accused Pakistan of harbouring and supporting UN-designated terrorists to incite to violence in Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
India has sharply reacted to statements by top Pakistani leadership, including Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to pledge support to Kashmiri separatists and its decision to observe ‘Black Day’.
MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup asked Pakistan to stop meddling in Jammu & Kashmir and stop inciting violence in any part of the country.
MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup issued the statement asking Pakistan to vacate Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
India also reminded Islamabad to ensure full protection to its diplomatic mission against violence by protesters.
India also demanded that Pakistan should vacate its side of Kashmir.
“We have seen reports about rallies, events and statements related to Jammu & Kashmir in Pakistan and [Pakistan Occupied Kashmir] over the last two days. We have also noted that the events were led by UN-designated terrorists, who had in the past protested the elimination of dreaded terrorists including Osama bin Laden and Taliban leader Akhtar Mansour in Pakistan,” Vikas Swarup said in a statement.
MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup said India condemned the encouragement and support, which “such terrorists and their activities” receive from Pakistan.
India’s Ministry of External Affairs said: “We once again ask Pakistan to stop inciting and supporting violence and terrorism in any part of our country and refrain from its deplorable meddling in our internal affairs in any manner.”
