Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday made an emotional appeal to protect and respect Dalits who have for long been neglected by the society.
While addressing BJP workers rally in Hyderabad Prime Minister said if the country has to progress it cannot ignore key mantras of peace, unity and harmony.
He asked what right the perpetrators had to exploit Dalits and said the unity in society should be our priority.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again denounced the cow vigilantes and asked people to be aware of these anti-social elements, trying to divide society. Speaking at a rally at Medak in Telangana, the Prime Minister asked the states to severely punish those people.
Terming cattle as country’s wealth, he said a handful of people were trying to create tension in the society in the name of cow protection.
Prime Minister Modi asked the states to identify the people who want to destroy the social fabric. He said there is a need to “expose” these people so that they do not succeed in their nefarious designs.
