National Institute of Technology in Srinagar has assured parents and students that normalcy has been restored in the campus.
There were reports of tension between two groups of students as some students reportedly shouted anti India slogans following the defeat of Indian cricket team at T20 semi final match on March 31st.
Dr. Rajat Gupta, Director National Institute of Technology, said the situation in the campus and at the hostels was normal, and academic activities would continue on Monday the 4th of April, 2016.
He further said the atmosphere at the Institute was peaceful, and infrastructure and facilities were functional.
In an official release the institute said the groups of students have been counselled in presence of seniour officials.
The release also stated that National Research Scholar Conclave will be held as per the schedule on 2nd and 3rd April.
