Prime Minister Narendra Modi Friday laid the Foundation Stone of the National Centre for Ageing at AIIMS. This will provide multi-speciality healthcare. The centre will have 200 general ward beds. Prime Minister also inaugurated a 300 bed Power-Grid Vishram Sadan at AIIMS.
He also inaugurated a motorable tunnel connecting AIIMS to the Trauma Centre.
Prime Minister also dedicated a 555 bed Super Speciality Block in Safdarjung Hospital. He also dedicated 500 bed New Emergency Block in Safdarjung Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion the Prime Minister said that these facilities will help people to get better health care.

Addressing the public, Prime Minister said his govenment has made health care accessible to common people as never before, and schemes such as Ayushman Bharat will build a healthy foundation for New India.
Union Minister J P Nadda said that the heath care sector in the country under the leadership of Prime minister Narendra Modi has come up in the forefront.
He said that many AIIMS being constructed in different parts of the country will strive to maintain the same standards and procedures.
