Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Washington DC on Thursday. Before reaching USA, Prime Minister participated in the 9th India-EU summit in Belgian capital Brussels and also paid homage to terror victims.
Modi will take part in the 4th Nuclear Security Summit. Immediately after arrival in the US capital, Prime Minister held bilateral talks with his New Zealand counterpart Mr John Key.
As per official statements, both leaders discussed the means and ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
In a twitter message PMO stated that both the Prime Ministers discussed for making India – New Zealand ties even more strong.
Later Mr Modi will meet scientists from US-based Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory (LIGO).
A memorandum of understanding on setting up LIGO facility in India will be signed between India and the United States on the occasion.
The Prime Minister is also expected to meet other leaders later in the day.
Prime Minister Modi will attend the official dinner at White House hosted by American President Barack Obama. Other world leaders will also be present in the official dinner.
Prime Minister, before beginning his official engagements greeted a large number of Indian community who came to see him.
