The monsoon has covered the entire nation. Southwest monsoon covered the country two days before its normal date. The country has received four per cent above normal rainfall since 1st of June so far.
IMD Director General, L S Rathore told reporters that country recorded 24 per cent above normal rainfall in July.
Met Department said next week monsoon will intensify in the Himalayan region, eastern and northeastern parts of country.
Met department has forecast heavy to very heavy rain today at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh.
Heavy rain is also likely at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, and North East region.
