Maharashtra Government today launched a web-based application ‘Adi Praman’ that will enable tribals to get caste validity certificates online.
The portal named [email protected] was launched by Maharashtra Governor CH Vidyasagar Rao in presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Raj Bhavan.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rao said this initiative will make the entire process of securing caste validity certificate transparent, fast and easy. He added that it would effectively curb the menace of bogus caste certificates.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the web-based application would help the government achieve the goal of inclusion as envisioned under the Digital India programme.
Mr. Fadnavis informed that certificates will be barcoded with the unique identification number and authorities can directly verify the status of validity certificate using the unique barcode number.
He added that applicants will also be informed on the status of their application through Email and SMS alert.
Mr. Fadnavis said the government aims to bring more and more services on citizens’ phones and on internet.
